Head of Growth Marketing

Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid — In-office Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)

About Smart Access

Smart Access is the AI execution layer for supply chains. We’re a Frontline Execution Platform that helps the world’s largest warehouses, manufacturers, and logistics operations close the gap between defined standards and actual frontline behavior. Our system connects standards, observations, coaching, and intelligence into a single execution loop that drives consistent, measurable performance on the floor.

We work with operational leaders, frontline supervisors, safety teams, and continuous improvement leaders to systematically close the execution gap — the distance between what standards say should happen and what actually happens. As supply chains adopt AI, Smart Access is positioned to become the operational intelligence layer that AI agents rely on to drive frontline action.

We’re an early-stage, enterprise-focused AI company. The work here moves fast, the customers are real, and the impact on operations is concrete.

The Role

We’re hiring a Head of Growth Marketing to build and lead Smart Access’s growth marketing function as we scale our enterprise go-to-market motion.

This is a builder/doer role for an experienced B2B SaaS marketer who can develop the plan, personally drive execution, orchestrate internal and external resources, and measure results. You’ll own the overall growth marketing strategy and integrated marketing plan, including account engagement, content, events, digital presence, customer advocacy, and Marketing’s contribution to pipeline.

You’ll work closely with Sales, SDRs, Customer Success, Product, and executive leadership to translate Smart Access’s market positioning into programs that engage the right people within our target enterprise accounts and create measurable business results.

You’ll also lead and partner closely with our Principal Demand Generation Lead, who owns the design, execution, measurement, and optimization of Smart Access’s demand-generation programs. Together, you’ll build a scalable marketing engine capable of supporting an enterprise sales motion without requiring a large internal Marketing organization.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the growth marketing strategy. Develop and execute Smart Access’s growth marketing strategy, priorities, and integrated plan, focused on engaging named enterprise accounts and creating qualified pipeline.
  • Build the quarterly marketing plan. Create and drive the quarterly marketing plan and campaign calendar with clear objectives, owners, investment, and expected pipeline impact.
  • Build and execute integrated marketing programs. Personally develop and drive programs across events, digital, content, webinars, social, customer advocacy, and account-based marketing, partnering with Demand Generation on campaign activation and measurement.
  • Drive account-based marketing strategy. Partner with Sales and SDR leadership on target accounts, buying audiences, messaging, and engagement strategy, and work with Demand Generation to turn those priorities into measurable ABM programs.
  • Partner tightly with Sales and SDRs. Work directly with GTM teams on account targeting, messaging, campaign activation, and follow-up.
  • Own and improve Smart Access’s website and digital presence. Shape and build the digital experience, messaging, and content, leveraging agency resources where appropriate and partnering with Demand Generation on conversion optimization.
  • Build customer proof and advocacy. Develop case studies, references, speakers, testimonials, and customer stories that turn customer outcomes into compelling market proof.
  • Create compelling market-facing programs. Translate Smart Access’s positioning into campaign messaging, content, thought leadership, and sales-support materials, personally creating and refining work where needed.
  • Measure and improve performance. Track account engagement, meetings, opportunities, pipeline, conversion, and program ROI; use the results to continuously improve programs and investment.
  • Manage resources and investment. Prioritize marketing investments and effectively deploy agencies, contractors, and specialized resources while maintaining a lean internal team.
  • Build the function as we grow. Establish the processes, capabilities, and operating rhythms needed to scale Growth Marketing while remaining hands-on in the work.

What We’re Looking For – Required

  • 5–10+ years of B2B SaaS marketing experience, ideally marketing enterprise technology into large, complex organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience building and running growth marketing, integrated marketing, demand generation, and/or ABM programs that contribute to enterprise pipeline.
  • Strong understanding of complex enterprise sales motions, including named-account strategies, multi-stakeholder buying groups, and close Marketing/Sales coordination.
  • Experience developing integrated marketing plans across multiple channels, including digital, content, events, email, social, and account-based programs.
  • Strong ability to translate company positioning and customer value into compelling market-facing messaging and programs.
  • Experience using customer outcomes, references, case studies, and other forms of customer proof to support market engagement and enterprise selling.
  • Strong analytical orientation and experience measuring engagement, pipeline, conversion, program performance, and ROI.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage agencies, contractors, and external specialists effectively.
  • A genuine builder/doer mindset. You’ve personally built and executed marketing programs, not simply managed teams that did the work.
  • Comfortable operating in an early-stage environment with limited resources, evolving priorities, ambiguity, and high expectations.
  • Equally comfortable setting strategy, collaborating with executive leadership, and getting directly into the details required to make programs successful.

Nice to Have

  • Experience marketing technology into supply chain, logistics, warehouse, manufacturing, retail, or frontline operations environments.
  • Experience building marketing programs for an early-stage or rapidly scaling enterprise SaaS company.
  • Experience working with AI products or AI-enabled enterprise software.
  • Familiarity with modern marketing automation, ABM, analytics, and AI-enabled marketing tools.
  • Experience building a marketing function or operating model during a company’s transition from early product-market fit toward a more scalable enterprise GTM motion.
